Transposing sort of.. PLEASE HELP

• Dec 4, 2016 - 01:56

I am very new to Muse Score and I uploaded an imported pdf, but it is written in A Clarinet Music, but Musecore think that it is in Concert C Pitch. How do I change it so that it is in A Clarinet without the notes being changed? Because after I do this I then want to change A Clarinet music into Bb Clarinet music.

It's hard to say exactly what is going on unless you attach the score you are having problems with (see "File Attachments" button below where you type your comment). It could as simple as, you need to press the Concert Pitch button to have MuseScore transpose it correctly for A clarinet, and/or change the instrument to Bb clarinet by right clicking the staff, Staff Properties, Change Instrument. Or, maybe you accidentally entered transposed pitches while in Concert Pitch mode, in which case you will need to transpose it via Notes / Transpose to fix the error. Or perhaps you didn't have the A clarinet selected when you created the score, so that needs to be fixed the same way.

If that doesn't help, again, if you attach the actual score and describe what you want to do in more detail, someone will be able to provide more specific help.

Looks like you forgot the attachment.

If you create the score yourself, MuseScore asks you what instrument you want. If you create it by importing from something else, then the instrument is chosen for you based on whatever you imported from. For a PDF, chances are MuseScore didn't have any idea what instrument to use. Ater changing to A clarinet, you'll probably need to fix the transposition then.
