trouble with mouse on entering notes to score
I absolutely love MuseScore and promote it wherever and whenever I can.
Recently, when clicking the mouse in score mode, a sub menu appears on the score screen. No matter
where on the page the mouse is clicked the menu follows. It only disappears after several clicks. Also, in Play Panel, playback doesn't always stop when the arrow is clicked. I have to close then open before it stops playing.
Any help would be appreciated. I use an iMac. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by "score mode". If you mean you are in Note Input mode - a cursor appears allowing you to enter notes - then there should be no menu. So I am guessing you are in some other mode. What does the menu say? Actually I can't think of any mode where a simple click would result in a menu appearing - unless you are clicking the *right* mouse button on a 2 or 3 button mouse, or if your Ctrl key is stuck on a single button mouse where Ctrl+click emulates right click.
