SLOW OPERATIONS
THERE HAS DEVELOPED A DELAY OF UP TO 5 SECONDS BETWEEN WHEN I CLICK TO APPLY AN ELEMENT TO MY SCORE AND WHEN THE ELEMENT APPEARS ON THE STAFF. ITSTARTS AT ABOUT A SECONDS DELAY BETWEEN THE TWO AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF HAVINE THE SCORE UP INCREASE TO UP TO 5 SECS

HAVE YOU GOT A BIG AND COMPLEX SCORE?
mAYBE POST THE SCORE HERE. Also, what version MuseScore, what operating system, are you running it on an old machine with little memory, did it work OK for a while and then go bad?
The more information you provide, the better able to help you. First thing to do, though, is turn OFF the Navigator window (f12).
2nd thing to do is to turn off caps lock
