Odd slide behaviour in guitar+tablature

• Dec 18, 2016 - 23:18

When a note is selected and either slide-up-out or slide-out-down is selected normal, expected behavior is for two slide symbols to be displayed, one in the tab and one in the notation section. The strangeness starts when trying to manipulate the slide symbols to correctly position them. If the notation symbol is adjusted first there seems to be a tendancy for it to disappear when trying to adjust the tab symbol. If the tab symbol is adjusted first then it works more often than not. A tendancy for the space between notes to narrow when adjusting the notation symbol within the same measure has also been seen.

Another distrubing behavior is seen when trying to get the slide symbols to cross barlines. Usually this results in the space between the notes growing ever wider. The extra space does not fully collapse back to normal if the slide is selected and deleted. It's necessary to delete the measure and re-enter to eliminate the extra space.

I can reproduce the disappearing line in the attached file:

1. Click on the "G" (3rd note in the treble staff).
2. Double click on the "Slide out down" symbol in the Advanced workspace.
3. Click on the "slide out down" in the tab and drag the handle up (as far as it will go) and slightly forward until the line is horizontal and just behind the next note.
4. Click off the slide out line.
5. Click on the line again and drag and drop it just above the tablature staff.

Result: The line disappears.
