Creating multiple slurs

• Apr 7, 2012 - 20:22

When creating multiple slurs between notes (without clicking anything else in between creation of slurs), the first slur added maintains the six editing boxes while the next slurs will need to be manually double clicked to edit.

1) Open MuseScore and create a new score with a single melody instrument for easy testing purposes (ex: Bb Clarinet). To make things easy, make it in 4/4 in C major with two measures.
2) Fill the two measures with eight quarter notes and then turn notation OFF.
3) Drag and drop a slur to the first quarter note from Palettes --> Lines. Notice the six editing boxes that appear. You can edit this slur to appear how you want, but do not "click out" (click on a blank part of the score) of this slur-editing mode.
4) Drag and drop a second slur to the second measure. Notice that editing mode does not switch to the new slur, but it stays on the first slur.

I am not sure if this is truly a "bug" or not, but I think it would smooth things out if the new slur added was immediately switched to be able to edit.

Also, refer to step 2. If notation is left ON, all slurs added will have a blue color until you click on a blank part of the score.

Thoughts?

I am running MuseScore 2.0 R.5523 on Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit on a Toshiba laptop.
