I need help with four areas, noted below

• Apr 23, 2012 - 15:03

1. Can I enter the word "rall." into my composition? 2. How can I change the space between staffs or systems? Some are too far apart and some too close. So far I haven't been able to make the spacing apparatus work.. 3. Can I create a piano reduction to my SATB choral composition "for rehearsal only?" and 4. How can I create a file for sending the composition to others electronically?
I am using MuscScore 1.1 dmg on an Apple platform.

Thank you! Peter Sipple sipplemp@gmail.com

First, if you have an intel mac with Mac OSX 10.6+, it's better to upgrade to Musescore 1.2.

1. Select a note, press Ctrl + T and type "rall." . Use the bottom text bar if you want the text to be bold, italic etc... see Text editing

2. See Layout and formatting

3. See this how to : http://musescore.org/en/node/12345

4. Depending of what you want the people you send the file to, you can save in different file formats. See File Format . The easiest way to share your scores online is http://musescore.com See Share scores online

1. Could be donw using Staff text or System text, select the note and hit Ctrl-T, resp. Ctrl-Shift-T (I think on MAC it is Cmd-T resp. Cmd-Shift-T)
2. see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/layout-and-formatting and http://musescore.org/en/handbook/break-or-spacer
3. What is a 'piano reductoin'? Combining S+a on one and T+B on another staff?, Yes you can, see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices and http://musescore.org/en/node/12345
4. see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/file-format for the various options

Edit: lasconic was quicker...
