Organ staves?

• Jan 21, 2017 - 14:33

Hello all -
The two organ systems offered show only 2 staves, like for piano. Is there another somewhere that shows the 3 staves (treble/bass/bass)? I'm using piano + soprano right now, changing the piano treble to bass, but the soprano part doesn't like some of the high notes I write.

Thanks -

Some additional info. You will need to make this a new instrument not change the instrument in staff properties because that makes no changes in the staff setup. If you prefer the sound of "organ" for your purpose, after you make the pipe organ, you can change instrument to "organ" by right clicking on the staff and selecting staff properties.

An alternative is to add a staff to your current organ. Press I and you will see your instruments. Click the bass clef under the organ and click add staff in the middle and the organ staff will be added. You will want to change the bass clef with the 8 under it for the notes to sound correctly if you add a staff.

Sorry, but I think this is not correct. The third (Pedal) staff in an organ score does not have a 8v basso indication, at least not as a standard (and I have yet to see an organ pedal that reaches below two octaves below middle C).
Don't confuse pedal notation with the fact that pedals often use 16' stops that sound an octave lower than written (but the same is true for lower manual stops).
