No sound in R5663 Linux Mint Katya

Just tried this nightly this morning.

I've set up the soundfont etc

But none of the audio settings in the Preferences seem to actually link up MuseScore to the sound system - the Level meter in the Synthesiser window remains dark.

Can anyone shed any light?
