Multi-voice note positioning

To achieve the non-vertically aligned positioning of notes in the MSCZ (see PDF for image reference), do you have to move them manually, or should they appear like that?

If you were to export a MusicXML and open it, the notes appear vertically aligned (see PDF for image reference).

Are there any bugs here?

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (0988848) - Mac 10.7.4.
