condensed score

Can muscore create a condensed score from a full score so that 12 instruments could be collapsed to approx. 4 staffs in concert pitch?

Do you mean including plaback? Condensed scores are already possible. Just use staff text to indicate instruments (e.g., if you want all upper woodwinds to play something, use the staff text to type "Upper W.W." Playback of individual instruments for these does not currently work with this—you'll have to use just one instrument for each staff. I don't know whether it will in 2.0 or not; perhaps someone else can answer that.

The plugins work in a very simple way, basically only for strictly homophonic passages. I use them for big band arrangements. If you want several voices/parts condensed into one voice on one staff, it has to be strictly homophonic, right?
I would welcome a plugin that could do the imploding into several voices, allowing heterophonic texture, too. MuseScore allows only 4 voices per staff, but actually that should be enough for condensed scores.
