Two endings and volta
I'm trying to repeat a piece from the beginning, and the second time around switch out one ending for another.
I've tried using the volta feature as such:
1st volta goes over the first ending, Text: 1., Repeat list 1, and I placed a da Capo in the final measure to repeat from beginning
2nd Volta, I used the open ended volta at the start of the second ending, Text: 2., Repeat list 2
On playback, first playthrough works as intended, it gets to the DC and repeats from the beginning. All good.
When it gets to the volta'd section in the second playthrough, however, it plays BOTH the 1st and 2nd endings, ignoring the volta brackets.
What am I doing wrong here?

Voltas don't work with DC, DS in MuseScore 1.2. You need to use a repeat barline instead of your DC

Ah right, thanks. Wish they would, seems like it would make sense.
On a related note, is there any way to get the piece to switch from one tempo to another for the second playthrough? I've set tempo text on the very first note for 72, on the second playthrough I'd like it to increase tempo to 132, any way of doing this?

No there is no way to make MuseScore play it like this. But you can certainly put a text before the repeat or at the beginning to note "Second time faster quarter note = 132" or something. Sheet music is meant to be read by human not by computer.

Wouldn't it work to add that 2nd tempotext to the last note/rest of the 1st volta?
If you want being placed somewhere else, drag it there.
