Move a lyric to a different note?
There are a number of posts on this subject but I'm still unclear if it's possible. Suppose I've entered the music for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and then I enter the lyrics as "Twin-kle twin-kle little star..." etc. I realise that I should have written "lit-tle" as two syllables - Can I fix it without re-entering the lyrics?
I know this is a trivial example, I'm just trying to understand the lyric editing possibilities. The handbook doesn't mention the ability to move a lyric syllable to a different note, so maybe it isn't possible.

right, this is not possible, you need to delete and re-enter them

And sometimes it's easier to re-enter / change the notes. (Depends on which is more complex)

I've been trying writing the lyrics in a text editor and then pasting them into to the score by pressing Ctrl-V multiple times, as suggested by someone in another post. This could make a good workflow except that MuseScore doesn't recognise hyphens when pasting. So you have to write "twin- kle" with a space, and the hyphen isn't positioned properly in the score.

Will this be any better in 2.0?
What would be great is for MuseScore to do what Finale does:-
You enter the lyrics into separate boxes for verses and chorus, and then one click and it adds them to the score.
You can then manipulate them to cater for melismas by selecting the syllable and moving it left or right, so it attaches to different notes.
You can copy/paste into the boxes from a text file if you so desire.
