Cannot select soundfont for each instrument
Hi,
I am new to MuseScore, but it looks very promising! Congratulations!
My configuration:
- Windows Vista PRO
- MusScore V. 0.9.4, rev. 1518
- Instruments file : :/data/instruments.xml
- Soudfont file : C:/Temp/FluidR3_GM_Instruments.sf2 (GM mapping)
My problem:
In the Mixer dialog box, the dropdown lists to select a soundfont for each instrument are locked.
Why? Is it related to the :/data/instruments.xml file?
A suggestion:
In the I/O tab of the Preferences dialog box, it would be great if you could specify several soundfont files and not necessarly following the GM mapping...

The dropdown lists in the Mixer are empty because they have not been implemented yet. Eventually these will be for changing instrument sound.
You cannot use more than one SoundFont at the same time. However you can create your own SoundFont that uses your favorite samples from several sources. I used Viena from synthfont.com to create the modified piano SoundFont in the prerelease versions of MuseScore.
