Duration of an entire composition
It would be a good idea to have some sort of indication, on the score, as to how long a piece actually lasts at any given tempo. Many composers in the film, TV and radio industries are commissioned to provide music of a precise length, down to the second.

Open the Display > Play panel (F11), then click on a measure towards the end of the score then click the Play button.
You can see the elapsed time in minutes and seconds. I don't know how accurate this figure is if you add
tempo marks to the score.
If you want to add this information to the score add Staff Text (Ctl- T) then type the minutes and second into the text box.

I have a question about this (old) topic: is it possible in Musescore the text will be automaticly will update after change of the score?

What I currently do is export the song to audio and check the length of the audio.

A simpler method is to just hit Play on the last bar then check the display in the playback toolbar.
