cadenza problem
In writing a cadenza for two instruments, I have somehow gotten both parts (1st and 2nd solo trombones) onto the first part. In other words, the first part now contains both the 1st and 2nd parts, in two lines, for the whole piece. How do I get rid of that 2nd line (the second trombone part) in the first trombone part?

Too many possibilities. Upload the score and tells us which measure it starts.
If I understand correctly...
In menu item: File / Parts, delete the first part (with the two trombones) and then regenerate - this time selecting the one (and only one) checkbox next to the first trombone part. Then you will have a part with only one trombone.
