Non support of earlier music
When i try to pull up music I already wrote I get a window telling me the version is updated and I cannot upload my selection. It then offers me the update, which I accept. But I still cannot upload my music.
I am talking about music from November 2016, so it isn't that old.

Seems you are talking about uploading to MuseScore.com, or 'Save Online.
MuseScore.com no longer (and since quite a while) doesn't accept score created (actually: last saved) with MuseScore 1.x or earlier.
Doesn't matter when you created that score, only thing that does matter is which version of MuseScore you used to last save it with
So you need to upgrade to MuseScore 2.0.3, open your old 1.x score with that, save it (under a different name / in a different directory), then upload that new file (or 'Save online').

Sorry, this was wrong, you can still upload 1.x score, but they'll ret rendered with the 2.0.3 engine.
Which also means that MuaseScore.com won't accept corrupt scores.
But it'd still be better to upgrade to 2.0.3, program and scores.
