Image capture: Copy and Resolution
There is an option to copy the content of the image capture rectangle (right click on the rectangle and select "Copy" or use Ctrl + C). Does the value set in "Resolution" make any difference to the quality of the copied (as opposed to the saved) image?

Yes. Copy a selection at, say, 50dpi and paste it into a graphics program. Then copy a selection at 600. The former will be very grainy and the latter maybe unnecessarily fine for most purposes.
