Bass notation
Hi,
I m new to this software but really like it. It is a great teaching aid for my bass guitar.
What I want to know is, does it use a voice for the strings that we are used to. You know, we like to keep the bass simple so for a 4 string bass we would have 4 lines, and on those lines the fret numbers according to the notes. No time measures are used, but it is a simple effective way of writing bass lines.
Does this software cater for such a way of writing?

The released version doesn't have tabs but it will be in version 2. There are preview builds available but they are not very stable. The nightly builds are available from the download page in the Nightly versions section. Expect it to be a bit buggy and if you're doing anything you don't want to lose, save often because crashes are not uncommon.
When you choose the instrument for your score you'll see "Electric Bass (4-str TAB) which is the type you're looking for.

It is also possible to customise the TAB in 2.0 for 5 and 6 six string basses, and to customise the tunings.
