Assistance with inputting 7 sets of sixteenth notes
Greetings.
I am attempting to put into MuseScore a measure of a "Liberace" style embellishment of 7 sets of three 16th notes (a repeating pattern of F, B, D seven times) just as they are written on the attached (or in a way MuseScore can do). I have made an attempt (also attached) using the cross beam feature but, as you can see, I have not been successful. Can someone show me how to do this?

I may be misunderstanding your kind reply but I am trying to insert 16th notes, not triplets. These 16th notes do not have a specific rhythm count, e.g., in 4/4 time, as they are embellishments. I did try the control shift down before writing this forum but it did not work with the 16ths. I suspect what I am trying to accomplish depends, at least as a start, removing a time signature so that I can get twenty, one 16th notes and one 8th note in one measure???? Is this called a cadenza???

I created a double dotted half rest in upper staff, made that a custom tuplet, relation 21/14, no numbers, no brackest, entered the notes, tweaked the beams, moved the 1st 6 notes down to bottom staff, flipped their stems.

Fun for you but it turns my hair grey when I can't do it correctly!!
But if you are so inclined, could you explain in another way how you did this? I do not understand how you came up with the 21/14. I even tried 21/23 because there were 21 16th notes and then an 8th note which comes to 23 16th in my mind anyway! I love to learn and it is bugging me that I do not understand how you did this. Also, as I am relatively new to music, is this a cadenza, i.e., something that does not fit into a time signature?
Another question that I had about your wonderful reply is how you got to put all those 16ths in with a 4/4 time signature. Any wisdom you are willing to impart would be most welcome!

Simple counting, the image shost a tiplet of 21 16th notes plus an 8th, in a measure that can host 16 16th. Substract thte last 8th and you can get 14 16th in. So we want 21 16th in the space of 14 16th, a custom triplet of the relation 21/14. Luckily 14/16 is a double dotted half, so I created that first, then went to Notes/Tuplets/Other..., entered the relation, and set number and brackets to none

No, seriously, I tried that, but started with the wrong duration, so got triplets of quavers, after that I did the 21/14th tuplet

Gee, you are all so wonderful to help me with this. I will keep this MS template for future use as I am now studying similar types of flourishes/embellishments and when they get handwritten out for me like the one we have been discussing, I think I will be able to just change the notes or to use the methods so kindly offered me. Please know I thank you very much for this.
