How to make two notes played at a the same time
Hello, I'm pretty new to music in general, so please forgive me for not knowing the technical terms for things. So I'm trying to have an eighth note be played at the same time as a dotted half note but one keeps replacing the other, please help. Thank you!

Check this out, it should help.
On the bar at top, where all the notes for note entry are, at the very right there are the numbers 1 to 4. click on the number 2 (it will go green). Notes entered will then be green, and it will allow you add a note of a differing length. Any rest in voices 2,3 and 4 can be deleted, but a rest in voice 1 (appear blue when clicked on) cannot be deleted.
