Relocating elements
Is it possible to drag notes or rests horizontally to reposition them? I have been able to do it using the arrow keys but Musescore seems to get confused when I do this and I usually have to delete the notes and re-enter them in the right places. Also, is it possible to relocate groups of notes? This doesn't work with the arrow keys because I can't put a group of notes into edit mode. i.e. when I double click them the lose their highlight. Sorry if this is basic stuff. I have tried to fing the answer in the doco but so far unsuccessful.

It would help if you explained more of what your are actually trying to do - posting a sample score would help. Generally, MsueScore follows standard typographical conventions for positioning notes, so you shouldn't need to reposition them. If you really need for some unusual special situation, double click a note to put it in edit mode, then use arrow or ctrl-arrow to nudge elements. But I am guessing you don't want to just reposition them graphically - you actually want to change what beat they occur on. You don't do that with arrow keys - you do that by cutting them from their current beat and pasting them to their new beat. Or simply re-entering the note on the correct beat.

I think you answered the question. Yes, I was trying to change what beat the notes were on by repositioning them rather than cutting them and pasting them into the correct beat. That's fine, I'll do it that way from now on.
