Are you holding [shift] to enter the 2nd note, and are you entering using the computer keyboard? Have you read the manual?

see the thing is im tring to do a chord where you hold it for two measures long in time signature 3/4
the chord is two notes: low f and high e on guitar

Ah, tied chords... see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/tie
You need to add them as separate chords first, then tie them.
