Musescore v1.3 will not open on Win7
I have installed v1.3 on my Acer notebook 4830TG-6808, which has a GPU and a CPU and runs Win7. The new version will not open. There is no message...just that when I click the Musescore icon or even the exe, nothing happens. I do see a brief outline that looks like the tempo-volume box trying to open, but that's it. I have had to roll back to v1.2.

doesn't apply - no qt in the path, Virus protection asks if I want to allow, I click Yes. v2.1 continues to work fine. V3.1 does not open.
I switch between versions by renaming the folder in program files (x86) to Musescore and Musescore 3.1 or 2.1 depending on which I'm testing and open the exe from the bin folder.
Might the separate GPU be an issue?

There is no reason the separate GPU should be an issue. The main difference, except the bug fixes, between MuseScore 1.2 and 1.3 is that the 1.3 exe file is signed.
Since you seems computer savvy. Can you try to run MuseScore 1.3 from the command line? See Revert to factory settings . You can try with the -s switch too to start without the synthesizer. I
