Percussion requests
Would it be possible to add a couple of features for percussion, please? Specifically, I'd like to see Agogo Bells added for Latin Percussion parts, and I'd like the Snare Drum to be more than just one line. In addition, could you had a 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-Line staff for anything we might want that isn't already in the instrument list? Thank you for your time; I LOVE this program (and I've been using Sibelius since the beginning of that program!).

Are you aware there is already a "drumset 3 line" and "drumset 5 line" instrument that allows you to add whatever instruments you like? Also, 2.0 will have more customization of the staff type.
The entire spectrum of General MIDI percussion is available through the "Edit Drumset function", so Agogo bells are already available albeit in the limited way GM implements them.
Watch this video to learn how to edit the drumset.

Not sure why you want two lines for the snare? Is it for displaying left and right sticking? Whatever the reason you have control over the number of lines displayed from the stave properties dialogue - just right-click the stave to display this.
In MuseScore 2 you will be able to save staff setups, but you will need to create a template in 1.3 to keep this.

Thank you for the help! There are some effects on snare drum which include playing on the rim, playing a rim click (the butt of the stick is placed on the head and the stick is played over the edge of the rim - think Bossa Nova patterns on drum set), rim shots (hitting the rim and the head at the same time) and stick shots (holding one stick while striking it with the other). I believe these would be impossible to differentiate between on a single staff that allows only a regular and an "x" notehead.
I will try your suggestions. Once again, thank you for your time.

If you are notating for snare drum as part of a drum set, then you definitely want the drum set instrument, not the snare drum instrument. Then you have all five lines to play with, and a whole variety of different note heads. But if you really are notating for someone who will be playing nothing but snare drum (eg, a marching band situation), then you might indeed want to use snare drum as an instrument in itself. But it should still be reasonably possible to notate this with just a single line. There are actually quite a few other noteheads available, as well as a large variety of articulations and other markings you can add. Step one, I would say, would be to find some example in published literature that show exactly what you want to achieve, then post a picture and we can probably show you how to achieve it.
