Fighting spam - ideas

Perhaps all posts should be delayed until allowed by a (group of?) moderator(s)?

or

remove after an arbitrary (low) number of markings as "spam" by the community (although something like this seems to be active now).

Just thoughts.

I think it is not enough to deny access to a spam link as all the info is in the subject.

Once I see an "access denied" message, I feel that the missive should be removed from view totally.

There's another mass of junk now... The problem is not isolated spam posts, which are very easy to skip over, but new "users" posting the same junk n times. It is not desirable to prevent new (real) users from posting immediately, so I suggest the following:

After making a new login, a user can only make one post, until they receive some sort of clearance, or for 24 hours, or similar. I don't know how many moderators there are, or their timezone distribution (I'm in UTC+9, and would be happy to help if so wished, but I am an irregular contributor.) Of course all this depends on how accessible the code controlling posts is...

But anyway, completely preventing spam is impossibile in a reasonably easy to use system, but slowing it down is the key, I think.
