adjust rhythms rests

Very simple single line. Got it all entered including lyrics so don't want to lose work.

Meter is 2/4 Bar in question contains quarter rest followed by two 8th notes, this is how it was in the written source. Couldn't be much simpler.

Now, I listen to a recording and the way it's actually done is quarter rest followed by 8th rest (or dotted quarter rest I don't care) and the sounded notes are actually 16th notes. So I would like to fix this WITHOUT DELETING THE WHOLE BAR and starting over because there are all sorts of synalephas and special characters in the lyrics. And I have a number of bars that have the same problem.

I try changing the duration of the 8ths and it sticks in a 16th rest and I can't get rid of it. I try inserting an 8th rest before it won't let me do that.

I have read the chapter in the manual about this but the answer was not apparent, one was oh just delete the bar and start over. That's a bad workaround. :P Please tell me how to do what I need to do if possible in a sane way.

And yeah, next time I will make sure the rhythm is perfect before entering lyrics, it's just easier to check if the lyrics are already there.

In case it's not obvious from lasconic's video, he's using copy/paste. This is the usual way of changing the time position of a note - cut it from it's original location, paste it into the new. As opposed to "inserting" or "deleting" something else and hoping the subsequent notes magically slide left or right. If you want notes to move to a different time position, just cut and paste them there.
