Prefence for xml default

That's not likely. MusicXML is nice as a portable / interchange format, but it just can't handle everything MuseScore does, at least not directly. The whole MuseScore interface would have to be stripped down to only allow things that MusicXML supports, and only in the way the way MusicXML supports them. In short, itwould be a whole different program.
