stretching and shrinking with more control

• Jun 5, 2017 - 05:21

I select measures and use the "increase stretch" and "decrease stretch" and it helps a lot.
But there are sometimes still some local adjacent "-" syllables that I would like to
move a little more apart so I could see the "-" better, and there are still some large
spaces that I would like to make smaller as I make some other spaces larger.
I don't know how to do this; is there a way. Of course note spacing is involved.
I want to get better at this.

Several different ways to do this currently. One is to simply move one of the syllables - either move the first one left or the second one right. Another is to add leading space to the second note using the Inspector. A future version of MuseScore will contain a settings to control the length of the dash and to force it to display.

Beyond that, if you attach the score you are having trouble with and describe in more detail what specifically you want to do, we can help further.
