Synth volume

Just started using Musescore in Ubuntu 12.04 & found a peculiar bug, when playing back the volume diminishes momentarily whenever a triplet occurs.

That's Ok, the problem is with my particular file which was an imported midi file originally built in Rosegarden as a harmonic exercise. The triplets in bars 5, 13, 22, 24, & 29 were rendered by musescore as you see them in voices II, III, & IV (although they seem to play OK) but when I corrected them in voice I to true triplets the volume in that voice decreases when they're played, Just wondered if this had been noticed before & if so if there's a workaround, otherwise not a big problem, thanks

First off, importing midi files do require some *fixing* to get them to display nicely without all the extra ties, etc. which make the score look more complex (and difficult to sight read), although playback sounds ok. There is a lot of forum discussion concerning this.

With regards to playback: when I added the triplets to the other parts in measure 5 of your attachment, I did notice the volume decrease.
Now, in your score, if you right click on a note in the triplet, under note properties in the drop down menu you will see that the velocity is set to 80, whereas other notes have velocity = 127. That is why the volume is lower for the triplets.

If you wish, you can set this individually for each note, or use *select* in the drop down menu to apply the correction more broadly. My attachment should play the triplets at the same volume as the other notes.
