Buttons are greyed out in Mageia 3.
The buttons that would enable me to play music in Musescore are greyed out. I just installed Musescore on a fresh install of Mageia 3.
Those buttons are labeled as follows:
Enable sound while editing
Enable MIDI input
Rewind to start position
Start or stop playback
Play repeats on/off
How can I get these buttons working so that I can listen to my files?

The settings look like this...
Use JACK MIDI output-unchecked
Use internal synthesizer-checked
JACK Audio Server-unchecked
ALSA Audio-unchecked
Portaudio-checked
Api-(blank with no options)
Device-(blank with no options)

Try to uncheck portaudio and to use Alsa instead. What's the default sound server on Mageia? It's probably a bug report for them too.

I unchecked Portaudio and checked ALSA Audio. The settings look like this...
Device: default
Sample rate: 48000
Fragments: 3
Period size: 1024
There has been no change. The buttons that I need are still grayed out, and I still can't play my files.
The server that I use to get my machine to produce sound is Pulseaudio.
