Move score on first page up closer to title

• Sep 14, 2013 - 20:53

Hello, this is my first MuseScore forum post, so please kindly help me with anything that seems incorrect or out of place. I have read the guidelines for posting in the Support section and I am complying as far as I can tell.

I am using Version 1.3 on Windows 7.

Here is my problem:

The copyright notice on one of my pieces is fairly big, and to be able to fit it on the first page, I need to move the music on the first page up closer to the title. I have gone into the General Style - Page settings, and tried decreasing the music margin on top, but that only works on pages other than the title page. Is there anyway to move up the music on the first page?

...the title should be in what's called a 'vertical frame'.
Double click on the frame and drag the handle to make the frame smaller - the music on the page will move up.
See:

at the bottom is a picture of a Title frame in edit mode

Another way:
In menu item Style / Edit General Style / Page you can decrease the 'V-frame lower margin'. This will bring the music closer to the frame.

Welcome aboard...
