1.3 crashes before it even opens

I try to open 1.3 and the logo pops up, but then a message box comes up that says "mscore.exe has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, installing an older version of MuseScore, but the message pops up. What is the problem and how could I possibly solve it?
