UK Brass Band Score Template

• Dec 9, 2013 - 12:08

The UK Brass Band Score Template has all instruments in the same key, the clefs are absolutely right, Bass Trombone in Bass Clef etc; so the system obviously recognizes the difference between instruments but does it recognize that different keys are involved?
One of the early musescore programmes used to let you actually change an instrument, ie; Bb to Eb once you had written out a piece.

Not quite sure what you are asking, but the Concert Pitch button toggles between showing notes at sounding versus written pitch. And if you wish to change the transposition interval for a given instrument, right click an empty part of its staff and go into Staff Properties. There you can either change the instrument itself (eg, from Bb tenor to Eb alto saxophone) or just change the interval used for the transposition.

If you open musescore, click on New, select "Create New Score from Template" click next then select "UK Brass Band" click next and select any Key Signature you like, click finish and you will be presented with every Instrument from Eb Soprano down to Bb Bass written in the same Key, ie; the one that you selected.
