Altering a score part way through from a great stave to a single stave

I am compiling notes for handbell ringing, written notes which have examples shown on score. The page that I am working on requires me to change the examples from a grand staff to a single treble staff. How do I do this? I've tried file and new but it doesn't add it to the existing score. Can anyone offer me some help please.
