Key Changes to all parts....

This seems logical to me - maybe that's my problem.

I am working on a brass work. Lots of instruments, and many different keys - Bb trumpets, Horns in F and Eb, and low brass in Concert pitch. When a key is selected when initializing the score, all is correct. - in other words, if I select C Major, the Bb instruments are in D, the F instruments are in G, and the Eb instruments are in A. All is well in the world.

When I want to change the key (Let's say to F) I pick an instrument - let's say the Tuba, and drag the one flat key, and it changes the key for the one line. I'd like for the change to apply all instruments. I found a question here on the forum from someone who wanted to change just one the key on just one and his solution was to hold the CTRL key down. This is the behavior that I get with just a regular drag and drop. I tried this, and a couple of other variations, but only get one line change at a time. It would sure be nice to change all lines at the same point with the correct new key with just one change.

I am running 1.3 on Windows 7; the behavior is the same whether is use the Key Change shortcut on the left of the screen, or go through the Create>Key Signatures pull down from the top.

Thanks in advance.

Currently, you do indeed need to do the change for each staff one by one. In 2.0, that will be changed so that dragging to one staff changes them all. If you are writing polytonal music that requires different key signatures in different staves, you'll be able to get that behavior by holding Ctrl while dropping the key signature
