Keyboard shortcuts at the corner of note duration and similar buttons

I recently noticed that I often have to guess which number pertains to which note duration in MuseScore, e.g. 4 for an 8th note, so I suggest having number shortcut reminders near the notes, a period near the dot, etc. Maybe in the next small release, we will have this simple yet helpful feature.

The numbers are not constantly displayed, but if you move your mouse over the notes the numbers will show up. You can move your mouse near them while entering notes until you get used to the numbers. It took me a few months.

Aha!!!
Welcome aboard...

Years ago I felt the same as you and so I suggested something like this:

Icons - Durations and rest all numbers.png

(Alright, I know, this picture shows an older version of MuseScore.)
But...
Check out the transparent zero encircling the rest symbol!
That's because prior versions of MuseScore intuitively used the spacebar for entering rests (which took me some getting used to when they changed it to zero).
Also, noteheads are really not needed for the shorter duration notes - it's the flags that are important: all the noteheads are the same (i.e. solid); plus there's less crowding of the digits.

Regards.
