Song Request - Digimon Theme American Version

• Aug 19, 2017 - 04:30

I've been looking for a decent version, the one I came across is not available in midi format, well there isn't even sheet music for it. However, there is a youtube video for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spFYzkeMjg4. Is there anyone that can figure out how to do it? It doesn't have to be 100% however I do like it with the four part harmony. Also, if there is a way to perhaps simplify it (i.e. at 0:33 (my hand can only go an Octave and even that's a stretch) and 0:52) but still keep it sounding close to the same that would be great. Thanks.

I've tried converting it to midi from mp3, only problem is it's not very good. It doesn't look even close to it. That program in the link is $99 and I don't think I'd want to spend that just so I can covert one video to a midi. Thanks anyway.

As underquark suggested, you can view the video and pause it to enter the next few measures into muscore as needed since the score is easy to read. You can then put the notes on piano staves as necessary to be able to play the notes.

As far as making it playable when you can reach the notes, there are several ways to make a score more playable. You will need to do a little analyzing the chords being played. If a chord is basically 1-3-5 notes of the scale repeated a few times, you can normally condense that to an octave. If there is a 9th or 11th, you could consider moving those (or other notes) to the other hand if possible. If notes are duplicated in both hands, then omit them from the chord that is too wide. Sometimes, you'll just have to decide which notes you can play and live with the results.

I've found the midi file that works. However, I was wondering if anyone knew to split it into just 2 voices. The editing of the midi has been done by me and it seems fine. There may be a few notes that need to be adjusted. Is there any program, provided it is free of course, or is musescore able to do that? I put the midi into musescore but it is more than one voice/channel. Thanks.
