losing instrumentation

• Apr 28, 2014 - 10:23

Has anyone else seen this problem? It has happened to me twice now and it is not reproducible in the least.

I was creating a score of several instruments, and one of the instruments changes in sound to another instrument but the Create Instruments dialog still indicates the original instrument.

The first time it happened, I had a score which contained (among other instruments) and Oboe d'amore. After a while the Oboe d'amore starting sounding like a flute. Yet when I looked at the Create Instrument dialog, I still saw Oboe d'amore. To solve this I added a new empty staff to the score with instrument = Oboe d'amore, then cut and pasted the notes from the corrupted staff to the new staff, and deleted the old staff. From that point it worked fine.

The second time this happened, I exited musescore and restarted and it was fixed.
