In what folder are your scores?
If you have a document and want to delete it as you do?
The method is always the same for a .doc/.Mp3 /*.mcz file
Drag it to the Trash, or select the file, then press Command-Delete. If a file is locked, click Continue to confirm that you want to move the blocked file to the Trash.

There is no such thing as "a score in the software". Scores are ordinary files, stored on your computer just like files you create with any other program. There is nothing special or unusual about MuseScore in this respect. So however you delete files you create in Microsoft Word or Photoshop or whatever other programs you normally use, you do the same for files you create in MuseScore. For Windows, this is normally done using Windows Explorer, for macOS, with Finder, etc.
