mp3 files
I believe that the owners of the MP3 source software have now placed this in the public domain - on the basis that mp3 is now almost an obsolete music format.
If this is the case wll you, in the future, be enabling a direct export to mp3 as is possible with wav files which are much larger?

The last patent for mp3 will expire in December this year, so the next version of MuseScore may include the needed lib by default, no need to install something extra.
