Ties into 2nd ending
I can find no way to produce a tie that goes to the first note of the second ending. It should show a note with the ending of a tie/slur but no marking over the first ending to the starting note. Surely this can be done as I have printed music that has this, and I need the fuction.

There is no direct native support, but a few different ways to achieve the desired effect. One is to add a grace note before the first note of the volta, make it invisible and silent, and tie to that. Another is to add a slur but manually adjust it to look like a tie.
