Drum notes in palette disappeared
I increased the staff distance because the drum stems were colliding with the bass notes and when I reopened the drum tab on the palette it was blank. I tried resetting the staff distance thinking that might have caused it but the drum tab is still empty. I have also tried restarting MuseScore and the problem was still not fixed.

Does anything change if you use the button note input?

As mentioned ion the Handbook under Drum notation , the drum palette will appear empty if you don't click in a drum measure before entering note input mode.
