Once a file is opened with 2059, it is corrupt in 2012

Using Windows XP SP3. Created a song using Version 0.9.5 Revision 2012. Opened the same song using Version 0.9.6 Revision 2059, made a few lyric changes, but discarded changes. When the same song is now opened with Revision 2012, it is truncated to only the first word of each measure along with the first few notes of each measure. Tried saving several different songs in different formats using Revision 2059, but they are still truncated when opened in Revision 2012.

Am I doing something wrong?
