Does anyone know how to make instruments sound closer or farther from the user?
Hello, in my score I panned all of my instruments correctly but I notice that it seems impossible to give the instruments depth in their sound. They often cross over each other and some are louder than others. Is there a way to combat this?

Can you attach the score you are having problems with (or a similar one as an example of the problem)?
I'm not sure I understand. Generally it's called reverb. Separation is often related to frequency differences.

That website helped me a lot on panning/reverb and explaining the concept of how distance is affected using panning/reverb for orchestra instruments.
