LOSS OF WORKS

I have been doing my music thesis for final year and was written a piece into musescore for last four months. I went today to open it and it says "Cannot read file C:/Users/Claire/Documents/MuseScore2/Scores/Enter no Silence .mscz:" would anyone know if I can access it somewhere else?? or how did it get deleted?
