When I double click on something in 3.0 dev, it won't go off it when I click off of it

I've noticed in the latest 3.0 dev version, as of 12/1/17, that when I double click on something (so that it turns blue), it won't go off of the selected item when I click off of it. I know this is an unstable version, I'm just reporting this so it can be fixed before a stable version of 3.0 is released.
