Basically, if the e-mail recipient also has MuseScore installed on his/her computer, you can send the .mscz file so (s)he can open/play/edit the file from within MuseScore.
If (s)he doesn't have MuseScore installed, you can send a .pdf document of your score for viewing, along with an audio export like .wav or .mp3 file for listening.
