How to remove note colouration during playback

• Jan 11, 2018 - 12:12

Hello everyone
I'm experimenting with different ways of making video files for choir practice. I'm aware of the "Send to Youtube" feature and I'll give it a go. Right now I'm using SnagIt to take a recording of MuseScore while it plays the music on screen. I rather like that blue bar telling the viewer which note is being played, but I would prefer that the notes remain all black.
Right now, the notes that are being played become blue. This is a problem for two reasons:
1. Some of the scores I'm using use invisible beams and non-playing voices.
2. If a video is intended for used by only one voice (e.g. tenor), it would be confusing to the viewer if other notes also turn blue.
In the example below (just a test, not very polished), for example, both soprano and tenor notes are blue, although this video is intended for tenors. In addition, the alto and bass notes are not blue because the alto and bass notes that do actually pay are located on an invisible beam, and the alto and bass notes that you see here are actually non-playing.
So, is there a way to set MuseScore not to colour those note blue?
Thanks
Samuel
