No Volume Inside of program, Musescore v.2, Mac, Desktop

This problem has occurred since i began using Musescore in September. My volume works fine on any other program that I can run on my Mac. (As seen in video below)
This is an unfortunate problem for me, as a music composer, for it means I cannot benefit from the instant playback that is provided.
I have roamed the forums in search of a solution, and have come back time and time again to the "cure-all", a Factory Reset.
This unfortunately has not worked for me. Both times Ive attempted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am a fan of Musescore as a work tool, and a great place to find music.
