Space between staves
File is for one melody instrument. How to alter space between staves. Methods given in handbook don't work, have no effect.

Layout Page settings and Page Margins affect the distance between staves...
In Style->General... change the min and/or max system distance. MuseScore says a system can consist of a single instrument.
